This N-frame breaker is designed exclusively for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It requires the specific I-Line bus stack and adequate physical space for a 1200A frame.
Can the NX361200 be reverse fed?
No. I-Line breakers feature plug-on jaws on the line side that must connect directly to the panelboard bus. They are not suitable for reverse feed applications.
What does the LSI designation mean for system coordination?
LSI indicates the electronic trip unit has adjustable Long-Time, Short-Time, and Instantaneous functions. This allows panel builders to fine-tune the trip curve for precise selective coordination with upstream and downstream devices.
Is the NX361200 still in active production?
The Square D N-frame is a legacy series. For new installations requiring a 1200A I-Line breaker, the modern equivalent is the PowerPact P-frame series, which mounts to the same I-Line bus.
What are the load side wiring requirements?
The standard mechanical lugs on this breaker are designed to accept four 3/0 AWG to 600 kcmil aluminum or copper conductors per phase. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
Does the NX361200 provide equipment ground fault protection?
No. This specific breaker features an LSI trip unit, which does not include the Ground Fault (G) function. If your 1200A application requires ground fault protection to meet NEC requirements, an LSIG breaker is required.
Can this breaker be used as a main breaker?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
