LSIG specifies the adjustable electronic trip settings: Long-Time (L), Short-Time (S), Instantaneous (I), and Ground Fault (G). These dials allow electricians to fine-tune the breaker's overcurrent and short-circuit responses to coordinate with other protective devices in the system.
Which I-Line panelboards accept this 1200A circuit breaker?
The NX361200G is compatible with Square D I-Line distribution panelboards and switchboards rated for 1200A and above, such as the HCP, HCW, and HCWM series. The panel interior must provide adequate bussing for a 1200A branch or main load.
Does the ground fault trip function require a neutral current transformer?
If the breaker is installed on a 3-phase, 4-wire system, an external neutral current transformer (CT) must be installed and wired to the trip unit to accurately detect ground faults. On 3-phase, 3-wire systems with no neutral load, the external CT is not required.
Is the NX-frame an active product, and what is the current replacement series?
The Square D NX-frame is a legacy molded case circuit breaker. Schneider Electric has superseded the N-frame family with the modern PowerPact P-frame circuit breakers for 1200A applications, though the P-frame may require different panel space or mounting hardware.
Can the Micrologic trip unit be swapped in the field?
No, the standard-function Micrologic trip unit on the NX361200G is non-interchangeable. The internal rating plug and the electronic trip functions are factory-installed and cannot be modified or upgraded in the field.
Can this I-Line circuit breaker be reverse-fed?
No. Because this breaker features I-Line plug-in jaws, the line side is mechanically configured to connect directly to the panelboard bus. The lug terminals are strictly for the load side conductors, preventing reverse-feed applications.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
