How does the PJA36100U31A connect to the panelboard bus?
This I-Line circuit breaker uses blow-on style plug-on connectors on the line side, allowing it to attach directly to the panelboard bus stack. The load side features mechanical lugs that accept four 3/0 AWG to 500 kcmil aluminum or copper wires per phase.
Can the trip unit on this breaker be upgraded in the field?
Yes. The PJA36100U31A comes factory-installed with a Micrologic 3.0 standard electronic trip unit. However, PowerPacT P-frame breakers feature interchangeable trip units. This allows you to swap it in the field for a Micrologic unit with advanced metering, communication, or different protection functions without replacing the entire breaker frame.

Expedited Shipments

The whole process with Technitrol was Awesome. Jim the owner was extremely helpful he caught some problems with one of the breakers that I didn't notice very helpful. James and Collin were great also. The whole company really step up helping me determine what path I should take to replace/refurbish breakers that went through a flood. I never experienced a flood like this they were an awesome resource and help to me and my employer the City of Wauwatosa
