This breaker features an I-Line style plug-in connection on the line side and is specifically designed for use in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It is not compatible with standard QO or NQ load centers.
Can I install this PowerPacT Q-Frame breaker in an older I-Line panelboard?
Yes. Schneider Electric has confirmed that PowerPacT Q-Frame I-Line circuit breakers are backwards compatible with existing and older legacy I-Line panelboards and switchboard distribution sections, provided the voltage and AIC ratings match your system requirements.
What is the difference between the QBA221753 and the QDA221753 or QGA221753?
The difference is the interrupting capacity (AIC) rating. The QBA221753 has a standard 10kAIC rating at 240VAC. The QDA, QGA, and QJA variants share the same physical Q-Frame and 175A rating but offer higher interrupting capacities for systems with higher available fault current.
