Yes, the QBL22080 is a direct replacement for the discontinued Square D Q22080 circuit breaker. It fits the same Q2 enclosures and meter mains.
What is the recommended tightening torque for the wire lugs?
The factory-installed line and load lugs on this breaker must be torqued to 248 lb-in (28 N.m) for secure and compliant connections.
How is the QBL22080 installed in a panel or enclosure?
This is a unit-mount, feed-thru breaker. It does not plug onto a busbar. Instead, it bolts directly to a mounting plate or backpan in Q2 enclosures, switchboards, or control panels, and uses lug-to-lug wiring for both line and load connections.
Is the QBL22080 rated for continuous operation at 100 percent of its amperage?
No, this breaker carries a standard 80 percent continuous current rating. Continuous loads running for three hours or more should not exceed 64 amps.
Does this breaker include a push-to-trip feature for testing?
Yes, PowerPacT Q-Frame breakers feature an integral push-to-trip button on the cover. This allows electricians to manually trip the breaker to verify the mechanical operation of the trip mechanism during maintenance.
What is the magnetic trip range for this 80A breaker?
The fixed magnetic trip element on the QBL22080 has a hold current of 1000A and a trip current of 1800A to protect against short circuits.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
