This Q-frame breaker is designed for use in Square D NQ panelboards, switchboards, and individual enclosures. It also serves as a direct replacement for legacy Q2L2090 breakers.
What is the difference between the QDL22090 and the QGL22090 or QJL22090?
The difference lies in the interrupting rating. The QDL22090 is rated for 25kAIC at 240V, while the QGL22090 is rated for 65kAIC, and the QJL22090 is rated for 100kAIC. All three share the same physical Q-frame footprint and mounting dimensions.
Is the Square D QDL22090 HACR rated?
Yes, this thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is HACR rated, making it suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
What is the recommended lug tightening torque for the QDL22090?
The line and load lugs should be torqued to 247.8 lbf.in (28 N.m) when using the accepted 4 AWG to 300 kcmil aluminum or copper wire.
Can the QDL22090 be reverse fed?
Yes, as a standard thermal-magnetic breaker, it can be reverse fed for supply-side applications. If used as a back-fed main breaker in a panelboard, a mechanical hold-down kit is required to comply with NEC regulations.
Can I use the QDL22090 to replace an older Q2L main breaker in an NQOD panel?
While the Q-frame QDL22090 physically fits in place of a legacy Q2L breaker, Schneider Electric notes that the UL listing on older NQODQ2 panels was strictly for Q2 frame breakers. Installing a Q-frame breaker in these older panels may void the UL listing.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
