This PowerPacT Q-frame unit-mount breaker is compatible with Square D individual enclosures, metering devices, switchboards, and panelboards designed to accept unit-mount Q-frame breakers. It is not compatible with I-Line panelboards, which require Q-frame breakers with an I-Line connection.
Is the QDL22225 a direct replacement for older Q2 series breakers?
Yes, the PowerPacT Q-frame circuit breaker is a direct replacement for legacy Square D Q2 Series devices of the same configuration.
Can the QDL22225 be reverse fed?
Yes. Standard thermal-magnetic PowerPacT Q-frame breakers can be reverse fed, allowing for flexible installation in enclosures or panels.
What is the difference between the QDL, QBL, QGL, and QJL breakers?
The difference is the interrupting rating (AIC) at 240VAC. The QBL is rated at 10kAIC, the QDL is 25kAIC, the QGL is 65kAIC, and the QJL is 100kAIC. They share the same physical dimensions and mounting configurations.
Is the QDL22225 rated for DC voltage applications?
No. The PowerPacT Q-frame circuit breakers, including the QDL22225, are designed and rated exclusively for AC systems and do not carry a DC voltage rating.
What is the recommended lug torque for the QDL22225?
The factory-installed line and load lugs should be torqued to 248 lb-in (28 N.m) for 4 AWG to 300 kcmil aluminum or copper wire. Always verify with the label on the breaker prior to installation.
Are the trip settings adjustable on the QDL22225?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit with a magnetic hold current of 1200A and a magnetic tripping current of 2400A.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
