Are the lugs included with this unit-mount breaker?
Yes, it comes with factory-installed box-type lugs on both the line and load sides. These lugs accept 4 AWG to 300 kcmil copper conductors.
Can I replace the lugs or add internal accessories to this Q-Frame breaker?
No. According to the manufacturer, replacement lugs and internal electrical accessories are not available for PowerPacT Q-Frame circuit breakers.
What does the 100kAIC rating signify for this device?
The 100kAIC rating means the breaker can safely interrupt up to 100,000 amps of short-circuit fault current at 240V AC. This high interrupting capacity makes it suitable for commercial and industrial systems with high available fault currents.
Will this Q-Frame breaker fit in a standard QO or Homeline load center?
No. PowerPacT Q-Frame breakers are physically larger and use a completely different mounting system. They are not interchangeable with QO, QOB, or Homeline residential breakers.
How does a unit-mount breaker like the QJL22250 connect to the system?
As a unit-mount breaker, it is secured to the enclosure or backpan with mounting hardware and uses lug connections for both the incoming line and outgoing load wiring, rather than plugging onto a panel bus.
Can I use aluminum wire with this 250A breaker?
No. While some lower-amperage Q-Frame breakers accept aluminum, the 250A models are rated for copper conductors only.
Does this breaker have adjustable trip settings?
No, the QJL22250 features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. It provides fixed long-time and instantaneous protection and cannot be adjusted in the field.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
