7 answersWhat is the difference between a QO120 and a QO120CP breaker?
The CP suffix simply designates Consumer Packaging. The device inside the retail blister pack is a standard QO120 single pole 20A breaker. They are electrically and physically identical.
Can this plug-on breaker be used in an NQ series commercial panelboard?
Yes. Current Schneider Electric NQ and legacy NQOD panelboard interiors are engineered to accept both plug-on QO branch breakers and bolt-on QOB branch breakers.
Are QO series breakers compatible with Square D Homeline load centers?
No. QO breakers feature a 3/4-inch per pole width and a unique plug-on mounting clip. They will not fit into Homeline panels, which require 1-inch wide Homeline format breakers.
How does the Visi-Trip indicator work on this breaker?
If the breaker trips due to an overload or short circuit, the handle snaps to a center position and a bright red flag appears in the indicator window. This feature allows quick visual identification of a tripped circuit in a dark or crowded panel.
Is the QO120CP suitable for switching lighting loads on and off?
Yes. Standard 15A and 20A QO breakers carry a Switching Duty (SWD) rating, meaning they are UL approved to be used as a regular switch for 120VAC fluorescent lighting circuits.
Is this breaker approved for heating and cooling equipment?
Yes. The QO120CP is HACR rated, making it suitable for use with compatible heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment provided it meets the nameplate requirements of the appliance.
Does this thermal-magnetic breaker provide GFCI or AFCI protection?
No. This model offers standard thermal-magnetic protection against overloads and short circuits only. If your installation requires ground fault or arc fault protection to meet code, you must use a designated GFCI, AFCI, or dual-function breaker.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
