Unlike plug-on QO or bolt-on QOB breakers that install directly into Square D load centers and panelboards, the QOU380 is a unit-mount (feed-thru) miniature circuit breaker. It is designed for surface, flush, or DIN rail mounting in OEM control panels, automation enclosures, and industrial machinery using the appropriate mounting foot accessories.
Can I mount the QOU380 circuit breaker on a standard DIN rail?
Yes, you can mount the QOU380 onto a symmetrical 35mm DIN rail. However, because it is a unit-mount breaker, it requires an optional 3-pole mounting foot accessory, such as the Square D QOUMF3, to attach properly to the rail or a flat surface.
Is the QOU380 suitable for DC applications?
Yes. In addition to its 120/240VAC rating, the QOU380 is UL Listed for use in low-voltage DC systems. It carries a 60VDC rating with a 5 kA interrupting capacity, making it a versatile choice for DC control panels and battery circuits.
Is this 80-amp breaker HACR rated?
