This breaker is designed exclusively for use in Eaton Type BR load centers. It is not compatible with Eaton CH series panels or other manufacturer load centers.
Does the BR120CAFA replace older BR120AF or BR120CAF breakers?
Yes. The BR120CAFA is a Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI) that replaces older branch/feeder AFCI models like the BR120AF and BR120CAF, meeting updated National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for arc fault protection.
How is the neutral wire connected on the BR120CAFA?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral connection. The coiled white wire attached to the breaker must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in the panel, while the circuit neutral wire connects to the breaker itself.
What is the difference between a Combination Arc Fault (CAFA) and a standard AFCI breaker?
A Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (CAFCI) detects both parallel arcs (line-to-neutral or line-to-ground) and series arcs (loose connections within a single wire). Older branch/feeder AFCIs only detected parallel arcs.
Can I use the BR120CAFA on a multi-wire branch circuit with a shared neutral?
No. Standard single-pole pigtail AFCI breakers like the BR120CAFA cannot be used on shared neutral circuits, as this will cause nuisance tripping. A two-pole AFCI breaker is required for multi-wire branch circuits.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
