The BQD340 is designed exclusively for bolt-on installation in Siemens Sentron P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5 series panelboards. It connects directly to the panelboard bus bars to distribute power to branch circuits.
Can the Siemens BQD340 be installed on a 480V Delta or grounded B-phase system?
No. The BQD340 carries a 480/277V AC slash rating. Under National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines, slash-rated breakers are only permitted on solidly grounded wye systems where the line-to-ground voltage does not exceed 277V. It is explicitly not suitable for 480V Delta, ungrounded, or grounded B-phase systems.
