6 answersWhat type of load centers accept the BRN120DF breaker?
It is designed specifically for Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and Bryant Type BR load centers that use a 1-inch per pole plug-on format. It is not interchangeable with Type CH panels or other manufacturer boards.
How is the neutral connection wired for this breaker?
The BRN120DF features a pigtail neutral. The installer must land the attached white pigtail wire directly onto the neutral bus bar in the panel. It is not designed for Plug-On Neutral (PON) configurations.
What protection is provided by a Dual Function (AFCI/GFCI) breaker?
A dual function breaker integrates both Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) and Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection into a single device. This combination satisfies NEC requirements for branch circuits that need both protections, such as those in kitchens and laundry areas.
How do you retrieve a diagnostic trip code from the BRN120DF?
Turn the tripped breaker back to the ON position. The red diagnostic LED on the face of the breaker will blink a specific pattern, from 1 to 6 times, to indicate the cause of the trip (such as a ground fault or series arc). This sequence will repeat 30 times.
What do the L, I, and G stand for in the trip function code?
The LIG designation indicates the specific thermal-magnetic trip capabilities: Long-Time (for standard overcurrent overloads), Instantaneous (for sudden short circuits), and Ground Fault (for leakage current to ground).
Is this Eaton breaker backwards compatible with older Cutler-Hammer panels?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and continues to manufacture the BR product line. This breaker can safely replace older Cutler-Hammer or Bryant BR series breakers in listed Type BR load centers.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
