The CHB390 is designed for use in Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Type PB and Type PH panelboards. It features a bolt-on mounting style and is not compatible with standard plug-on loadcenters.
Are Type CH and Type CHB breakers interchangeable?
No. Type CHB breakers, like the CHB390, have a bolt-on mounting style for commercial PB and PH panelboards. Type CH breakers use a plug-on design for residential loadcenters. They cannot be swapped.
What type of wire can I use with the CHB390 terminals?
The CHB390 features box lug terminals that are rated for both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors. They accept wire gauges from 4 AWG up to 1/0 AWG.
What does the LI trip function mean on the CHB390?
The LI designation indicates that the breaker provides Long-Time and Instantaneous trip functions. This is standard thermal-magnetic protection, where the thermal element protects against mild overloads and the magnetic element reacts instantly to severe short circuits.
Is there a difference between Eaton and Cutler-Hammer for the CHB390?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
