It is designed for use in Eaton and legacy Cutler-Hammer Type BR load centers. It is not compatible with Type CH panels, which utilize a different mounting design.
Is the GFCB140 a direct replacement for the GFTCB140?
Yes, the GFCB140 replaces the legacy Cutler-Hammer GFTCB140. It maintains the same Type BR plug-on mounting and physical footprint.
How do I wire the neutral for this GFCI breaker?
The coiled white pigtail wire must connect to the panel neutral bus bar. The neutral wire from the branch circuit must connect directly to the load neutral terminal on the breaker itself.
What is the ground fault trip threshold for this breaker?
The GFCB140 provides Class A personnel protection with a 5mA trip sensitivity. It is designed to detect low-level ground faults and prevent electrical shock.
Can this 1-pole GFCI breaker be used on a multi-wire branch circuit?
No. Single-pole GFCI breakers like the GFCB140 cannot be used on multi-wire branch circuits with shared neutrals. The shared return current will cause nuisance tripping, so a dedicated neutral is required.
Does the GFCB140 provide arc fault protection?
No, this is a standard GFCI breaker. It provides thermal-magnetic overload, short-circuit, and ground fault protection, but it does not detect arc faults.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
