This F-frame breaker is designed for use in Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Series C panelboards, as well as compatible commercial switchboards and motor control centers.
Can I use the HFD1035 to replace an older Westinghouse HFD breaker?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment line. A modern Eaton or Cutler-Hammer HFD1035 is a direct, drop-in replacement for a legacy Westinghouse breaker with the exact same catalog number.
What is the difference between Eaton FD and HFD circuit breakers?
The H designates a high-interrupting capacity version of the standard FD frame. The HFD1035 provides a 65kAIC rating at 277VAC, whereas a standard FD1035 is rated for 35kAIC at the same voltage.
Does this breaker include both line and load terminals?
As a bolt-on breaker, the line side connects directly to the panelboard bus via a bolt-on tab. It includes a standard mechanical lug on the load side to accept 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG wire.
Will this breaker fit in a standard residential load center?
No. The HFD1035 is an industrial F-frame breaker designed for commercial panelboards. It is not compatible with standard residential plug-on or bolt-on load centers such as the Eaton BR or CH series.
Is the HFD1035 suitable for direct current applications?
Yes, this thermal-magnetic breaker is rated for use in DC circuits up to 125VDC, providing a 10kA interrupting capacity for those specific applications.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
