This bolt-on E-Frame circuit breaker is designed for installation in GE A-Series panelboards, GE switchboards, and motor control centers. It is not compatible with residential Q-Line load centers.
Is the TEF124070 manufactured by GE or ABB?
ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions, so this breaker may arrive with either GE or ABB branding. The physical dimensions, mounting hardware, and TEF124070 catalog number remain identical regardless of the logo.
What wire sizes and materials do the lugs on the TEF124070 accept?
The factory-installed lugs accept both copper and aluminum conductors. The acceptable wire range is 3 AWG to 3/0 AWG for copper, and 1 AWG to 3/0 AWG for aluminum. Always apply joint compound when terminating aluminum wire.
Can the TEF124070 be used in DC power systems?
Yes, in addition to its AC ratings, this breaker is rated for 250VDC applications with a maximum interrupting capacity of 10kAIC.
Does the TEF124070 have adjustable trip settings?
No, this breaker features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. It provides standard long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection without user-adjustable dials.
What is the difference between the TEF and TED series breakers?
Both belong to the GE E-150 Line of molded case circuit breakers and share the same physical E-Frame dimensions. The TEF series is a legacy line that has largely been superseded by the TED series, but they mount into the same A-Series panelboard spaces.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
