How does the current limiting design of the THLC series operate during a fault?
The THLC136090 forces the arc into U-shaped arc plates to rapidly develop a high arc voltage. This quenches the short circuit quickly, minimizing let-through current and protecting downstream components from thermal and mechanical stress.
Is the 200kA interrupting rating applicable across all voltage levels?
No, the interrupting capacity depends on the system voltage. It is rated for 200kA at both 240VAC and 480VAC, but the rating drops to 50kA when applied to a 600VAC system.
Can the trip settings on the THLC136090 be adjusted in the field?
No, this breaker features fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip elements. The long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection parameters are factory set and cannot be modified by the installer.
Does the THLC136090 provide equipment ground fault protection?
No, this thermal magnetic breaker only provides long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions for standard overcurrent and short-circuit events. It does not include ground fault sensing.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
