This 2-pole bolt-on breaker is designed for installation in GE A-Series panelboards and GE Meter Mod III meter stacks, where it is commonly utilized as a tenant main breaker.
What is the difference between the TMQD22225 and the TQD22225 or THQD22225?
The primary difference is the short-circuit interrupting rating. The TMQD22225 is rated for 100kAIC at 240V, whereas the TQD22225 is rated for 10kAIC and the THQD22225 is rated for 22kAIC. All three share the same physical frame size and bolt-on mounting configuration.
Can I use a TQD22225 in place of a TMQD22225?
You can only substitute a TQD22225 if the system fault current requires 10kAIC or less. The TMQD22225 provides a much higher 100kAIC rating. Always verify the required interrupting capacity of your panel before downgrading the AIC rating to ensure safe operation.
What are the acceptable wire sizes for the TMQD22225 lugs?
The factory-installed lugs accommodate copper or aluminum conductors ranging from 1 AWG up to 300 kcmil. Ensure you use the correct wire gauge based on the 225A circuit requirement and local electrical codes.
Are the thermal-magnetic trip settings on the TMQD22225 adjustable?
No, this breaker features fixed long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions. It does not have adjustable dials for customizing the trip curve.
Is the TMQD22225 the same physical size as standard GE THQL breakers?
No, the TMQD22225 is built on a larger molded case frame designed for commercial panels and meter stacks. It will not fit into standard residential load centers that take 1-inch THQL plug-in breakers.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
