Yes. Siemens acquired Murray, and this breaker is approved for use in both Murray and Siemens load centers that accept plug-in MP or QP frame breakers.
What is the modern Siemens replacement for the Murray MP215GFA?
The Siemens QF215A is the direct substitute for the legacy Murray MP215GFA. Both provide identical 5mA ground fault protection and use a pigtail neutral.
What level of ground fault protection does this breaker provide?
It provides Class A, 5mA ground fault protection. This is designed for personnel safety to meet NEC requirements for wet and damp locations.
Does the MP215GFA include an automatic self-test feature?
Yes. It includes an integrated self-test mechanism that automatically verifies the ground fault circuitry is functioning properly to comply with UL 943 standards.
How does the pigtail neutral connect during installation?
The coiled white pigtail wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in the load center. This connection is required to power the internal GFCI circuitry, even if the load itself does not use a neutral wire.
Can the MP215GFA protect a 240V load that does not have a neutral wire?
