This breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series panelboards. It is not compatible with NQ, I-Line, or QO load centers.
What is the recommended lug torque for the EDB14070?
The tightening torque depends on the wire size used. For 14 to 10 AWG wire, the recommended torque is 34.5 in-lbs. For 8 to 2/0 AWG wire, torque to 49.6 in-lbs.
Can the EDB14070 be reverse fed?
Yes. EDB series circuit breakers are not marked for line and load, meaning they can be reverse fed for applications like solar backfeeding or generator inputs.
Is the EDB14070 HACR rated?
Yes, the EDB14070 is HACR rated, making it suitable for protecting heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment circuits.
Can this breaker be used in DC voltage applications?
No, the Square D EDB14070 is rated for AC voltage only and does not carry a DC voltage rating.
What is the difference between EDB, EGB, and EJB breakers?
These are all E-Frame breakers that fit NF panelboards, but they feature different interrupting ratings. At 277VAC, the EDB is rated for 18 kAIC, the EGB for 35 kAIC, and the EJB for 65 kAIC.
Can I use an EGB14070 or EJB14070 to replace this breaker?
Yes. EGB14070 and EJB14070 breakers share the same physical dimensions and mounting as the EDB14070. They can be used as direct upgrades if your application requires a higher interrupting rating.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
