Designed to handle higher current loads, the Siemens ED61B100 is a 100A, 1-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 347VAC. It provides essential long-time and instantaneous protection for commercial electrical systems. This Sentron ED Frame breaker bolts securely into Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards, as well as compatible switchboards. Featuring a 30kAIC rating at 347V, it comes equipped with load side lugs (LN1E100) and is HACR rated for use with heating and cooling equipment.
What panelboards are compatible with the Siemens ED61B100 circuit breaker?
The ED61B100 is designed for use in Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards, as well as compatible Siemens switchboards and motor control centers.
What wire sizes do the lugs on the ED61B100 accept?
The factory-installed lugs accept wire gauges from 10 AWG to 1/0 AWG and are rated for both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors.
What does the 347VAC rating indicate for this 1-pole breaker?
A 347VAC rating indicates this 1-pole breaker is designed for use on 600Y/347V solid-grounded wye systems, which are common in specific industrial and commercial applications.
Does the ED61B100 require a specific mounting hardware kit?
As a bolt-on breaker, it fastens directly to the bus of compatible Siemens panels. Depending on the specific panelboard or switchboard chassis, a separate strap kit or mounting hardware may be required for installation.
What type of trip unit is equipped on the ED61B100?
It features a non-interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous (LI) trip functions.
What frame family does the ED61B100 belong to?
It is part of the Siemens SENTRON ED frame family, which shares a common physical footprint with other ED frame breakers like the ED4 and HED4.
Can I install this Siemens ED6 breaker in a panel made by another manufacturer?
No. Unless the panel is explicitly UL listed to accept Siemens ED frame breakers, installing it in another brand's panelboard voids the UL listing and creates a serious safety hazard.
Can the ED61B100 be used in systems requiring a 25kAIC rating at 347V?
Yes. With a maximum interrupting rating of 30kAIC at 347VAC, this breaker safely exceeds requirements for systems specifying 10kAIC, 14kAIC, 18kAIC, 22kAIC, or 25kAIC at 347V.
