Square D EDB34030 Molded Case Circuit Breaker

The EDB34030 is an E-frame, bolt-on circuit breaker designed specifically for Square D NF series panelboards. It will not fit NQ panelboards (which require QO or QOB breakers) or I-Line panelboards.

These breakers share the same physical dimensions and fit the same NF panelboards, but they have different short-circuit interrupting ratings. At 480Y/277VAC, the EDB provides 18kAIC, the EGB provides 35kAIC, and the EJB provides 65kAIC.

Yes. Standard EDB circuit breakers do not have marked line and load terminals. This means they are suitable to be reverse-fed, making them capable of functioning as a backfed main breaker in an NF panelboard.

The factory-installed aluminum lugs accept 14-6 AWG copper or 12-6 AWG aluminum conductors and must be tightened to approximately 30 lb-in (3.4 N.m).

When mounting the breaker to the NF panelboard branch connector, the mounting screw should be torqued to between 20 and 30 lb-in to ensure a secure and code-compliant connection.
