Square D EGB34050 Molded Case Circuit Breaker

This E-frame circuit breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series panelboards.

These three models share the same physical dimensions, 50A rating, and thermal-magnetic trip functions but differ in their maximum interrupting capacities. At 480Y/277 VAC, the EDB34050 is rated at 18kA, the EGB34050 at 35kA, and the EJB34050 at 65kA. At 240 VAC, their ratings are 25kA, 65kA, and 100kA respectively.

The instantaneous magnetic trip has a fixed holding current of 630A (the maximum fault current it will pass continuously without tripping) and a fixed trip current of 1800A (the threshold where instantaneous tripping is guaranteed).

For the factory-installed aluminum load lugs, apply 34.5 lb-in of torque when landing 14 to 10 AWG conductors. For larger 8 to 2/0 AWG conductors, torque the lugs to 49.6 lb-in. Always verify the exact torque values printed on the breaker label prior to terminating wires.
