No, the EGB34070 is a bolt-on E-frame breaker engineered specifically for Square D NF series panelboards. It will not fit in NQ or I-Line panelboards, which require entirely different breaker frame types.
Is the EGB34070 a direct replacement for the legacy EHB34070?
The older EHB34070 was built exclusively for legacy NEHB panelboards. The modern EGB34070 is designed for NF panelboards, meaning they are not physically interchangeable unless the panelboard infrastructure itself is also being upgraded.
How does the EGB34070 differ from the EDB34070 and EJB34070 circuit breakers?
All three are E-frame breakers for NF panelboards with identical physical dimensions. The primary difference is their maximum interrupting capacity at 480Y/277VAC: the EDB34070 is rated for 18kAIC, the EGB34070 provides 35kAIC, and the EJB34070 delivers 65kAIC.
Is the EGB34070 circuit breaker approved for DC voltage applications?
No. Square D E-frame breakers, including the EGB series, do not carry a DC voltage rating. They are strictly intended and approved for AC power distribution.
Can I use the EGB34070 for heating, air conditioning, or high-intensity lighting loads?
Yes, this circuit breaker is HACR rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. It is also HID rated for switching high-intensity discharge lighting circuits.
How does the Visi-Trip indicator simplify troubleshooting?
When a fault or overload causes the breaker to trip, the handle snaps to a midpoint position and reveals a bright red Visi-Trip indicator. This allows electricians to quickly visually identify a tripped breaker inside a crowded NF panelboard without needing to test each circuit.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
