The FAL22035 is a unit-mount circuit breaker designed for individual Square D enclosures, switchboards, and control panels. It is not compatible with I-Line panelboards, which require plug-on jaws.
Is the Square D FAL22035 still manufactured, or is there a modern replacement?
The legacy F-frame series has been discontinued by Schneider Electric. The designated modern replacement is the Square D PowerPact B-frame series, which offers the same footprint for unit-mount applications.
How does the FAL22035 connect to the power source and load?
The L in the FAL prefix indicates it has mechanical lugs on both the line and load sides. It is a feed-thru, unit-mount breaker that wires directly to the circuit rather than snapping onto a busbar.
What is the difference between the FAL22035 and an FA22035 breaker?
While both are 35A, 2-pole, 240V F-frame breakers, the FAL22035 is a unit-mount breaker with lugs on both ends. The FA22035 typically refers to the I-Line version designed to plug directly into an I-Line distribution panel busbar.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip settings adjustable on the FAL22035?
No, the FAL22035 features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time thermal and instantaneous magnetic protection functions are factory-calibrated and cannot be adjusted in the field.
Does the FAL22035 include a push-to-trip button for testing?
Yes, Square D F-frame breakers feature a push-to-trip button on the front of the breaker. This allows you to manually trip the mechanism to verify the mechanical linkage is operating correctly and to exercise the breaker.
Can the FAL22035 be reverse-fed?
Standard Square D F-frame thermal-magnetic breakers without specific line and load markings can typically be reverse-fed. However, you must verify the faceplate of your specific breaker. If it is marked with Line and Load, it is not suitable for reverse connections.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
