The HDP36110 is a unit-mount circuit breaker with mechanical lugs on both the line and load sides. The HDA36110 is an I-Line breaker designed to plug directly into an I-Line panelboard bus on the line side, with lugs only on the load side.
Can the HDP36110 be reverse fed?
Yes. Because it uses a standard thermal magnetic trip unit without field-interchangeable trip elements, the HDP36110 is suitable for reverse-fed applications.
What are the hold and trip values for the HDP36110 magnetic trip?
The HDP36110 has a magnetic hold current of 900A and a trip current of 1700A. The breaker will carry up to 900A continuously without tripping magnetically, but will trip instantaneously if the current reaches or exceeds 1700A.
What does the D in the HDP36110 part number signify?
The D indicates the breaker's interrupting capacity rating. For PowerPacT H-Frame breakers, the D-interrupting rating provides 25kA at 240VAC, 18kA at 480VAC, and 14kA at 600VAC.
What are the torque specifications for the lugs on the HDP36110?
The standard AL150HD lugs require a 3/16-inch Allen wrench. Torque the wire binding screws to 50 lb-in for 14-10 AWG wire, and 120 lb-in for 8-3/0 AWG wire.
What is the difference between the HDP36110 and the HGP36110?
The difference is the interrupting capacity. The HDP36110 has a D-rating (18kA at 480VAC), while the HGP36110 has a higher G-rating (35kA at 480VAC). Both share the same physical dimensions and mounting.
Can the HDP36110 replace an older KAL36110 breaker?
Yes, the PowerPacT H-Frame series is the modern replacement for the discontinued Square D K-Frame series. However, because the H-Frame is physically smaller than the legacy K-Frame, you may need an adapter plate or different mounting hardware depending on your enclosure.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
