This breaker is designed for legacy Westinghouse CDP and FDP distribution panels, as well as modern Eaton Pow-R-Line panelboards. It uses a standard unit-mount configuration rather than a plug-on or bolt-on chassis connection.
Can the Eaton CA3125 replace an older Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer breaker?
Yes. Because Eaton acquired the Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer product lines, this unit is the direct replacement for legacy CA3125 models. It also serves as an exact substitute for older CC3125 breakers.
Does this breaker require separate lug kits for installation?
No. The CA3125 comes standard with mechanical lugs already installed on both the line and load terminals. These terminals accept 3 AWG through 300 kcmil copper or aluminum conductors.
Can I adjust the trip settings on the CA3125?
No. This unit utilizes a standard fixed thermal-magnetic trip mechanism. Both the long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit (LI) protection parameters are permanently set at the factory.
What does the 40-degree Celsius rating indicate?
Like most standard molded case circuit breakers, the CA3125 is calibrated to carry its full continuous current at a baseline ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Operating the breaker in significantly hotter environments may require thermal derating.

Expedited Shipments
