This legacy CA frame breaker mounts directly into older Westinghouse distribution panels and compatible Eaton F-Frame panelboards. It utilizes a standard unit mount configuration, bolting directly to the panel chassis or backpan.
Is there a modern replacement for the CA3200?
The CA3200 is an obsolete legacy frame. For complete panel upgrades, Eaton generally recommends the ED frame molded case circuit breaker as a modern equivalent. Upgrading to a different frame style will require modified mounting hardware or panel spacer kits.
Can the CA3200 be installed on a 480V electrical system?
No. This specific molded case circuit breaker is strictly rated for a maximum of 240V AC. Applying this breaker to 480V systems exceeds its design limits and poses a severe safety hazard.
Are both line and load side lugs included with the CA3200?
Yes, the standard CA3200 catalog number is supplied with both line side and load side mechanical lugs for direct cable connections. If an installation requires a breaker with line terminals only, the CA3200Y variant is required.
Can the trip settings on the CA3200 be adjusted in the field?
No, this breaker is built with a non-interchangeable, fixed thermal magnetic trip unit. The Long-Time and Instantaneous (LI) overcurrent protection settings are set at the factory and cannot be field modified.
What is the difference between the CA3200 and the CAH3200?
Both breakers share the exact same physical frame dimensions and 200A continuous current rating. The difference is the short circuit capability. The standard CA3200 provides a 10 kAIC rating at 240V AC, while the high interrupting CAH3200 provides a 22 kAIC rating.

Expedited Shipments
