What load centers are compatible with the CH225 breaker?

The CH225 is designed exclusively for Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Type CH load centers. It will not fit in panels from other manufacturers.

Can I install the CH225 in an Eaton BR load center?

No. Eaton CH breakers feature a 3/4-inch plug-on design, whereas BR load centers require breakers with 1-inch spacing. They are not interchangeable.

How much panel space does the CH225 require?

As a 2-pole Type CH breaker, it requires two 3/4-inch spaces, occupying a total of 1.5 inches on the panel bus.

Is the CH225 suitable for HVAC equipment?

Yes, the CH225 is HACR rated. It is approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that requires a 25-amp, two-pole overcurrent protection device.

What is the difference between the CH225 and the CHF225?

The CHF225 is a direct replacement and upgrade for the CH225. The primary difference is that the CHF225 includes a mechanical trip flag, which provides a visual indication when the breaker has tripped.

Does the CH225 provide ground fault or arc fault protection?

No, the CH225 is a standard thermal magnetic circuit breaker. It does not include GFCI or AFCI circuitry.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Same Day Shipping

We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.

Expedited Shipments

Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.

International Shipping

    Got a great refurbished breaker - saved a $6500 Service Replacement

    When our main breaker frizzed out, the option we were presented with was replacing the entire panel and service due to the type and part - no longer produced for replacement parts. It would be a $6500 replacement.

    We'll likely have to do it at some point but, for now, the replacement breaker we were able to source from Superbreakers (with a $25 warranty) was $5900 less expensive. installation ran a few hundred dollars and the tech said the part looked to be in excellent condition and was prepped for install as he would have hoped.

    Very thankful for SuperBreakers!
