6 answersWhat load centers are compatible with the CHCAF115 breaker?
This breaker is designed exclusively for use in Eaton Type CH load centers. It is not compatible with Eaton BR panels or panels from other manufacturers.
Does the CHCAF115 use a plug-on neutral or a pigtail neutral connection?
The CHCAF115 features a traditional pigtail neutral. During installation, the coiled white pigtail wire must be routed and connected directly to the neutral bar in the load center.
How is the load neutral wired on this AFCI breaker?
The load neutral wire from the branch circuit must be terminated at the neutral lug on the breaker itself. The breaker's white pigtail wire then completes the circuit by connecting to the panel neutral bar.
What is the direct replacement for the CHCAF115?
The CHCAF115 has been superseded by the Eaton CHFCAF115. The newer CHFCAF115 model provides the same 15A combination arc fault protection but adds a visual trip flag and diagnostic LED.
What type of faults does this combination AFCI breaker detect?
As a Combination Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter, it detects both parallel arcing (line-to-line or line-to-ground) and series arcing (loose connections or damaged wires) to help prevent electrical fires, in addition to standard overload and short-circuit protection.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping

When our main breaker frizzed out, the option we were presented with was replacing the entire panel and service due to the type and part - no longer produced for replacement parts. It would be a $6500 replacement.
We'll likely have to do it at some point but, for now, the replacement breaker we were able to source from Superbreakers (with a $25 warranty) was $5900 less expensive. installation ran a few hundred dollars and the tech said the part looked to be in excellent condition and was prepped for install as he would have hoped.
