This F-frame breaker is designed specifically for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer Pow-R-Line C panelboards, FDP panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers.
What are the modern replacements for the legacy FB3015?
The FB3015 is an older legacy MCCB that can typically be replaced by newer Eaton F-frame models, such as the FDB3015 or FD3015. Because they share the same F-frame designation, they have identical physical dimensions and bolt-on mounting configurations.
Can the FB3015 be installed in a Square D or Siemens panelboard?
No. Eaton and Cutler-Hammer F-frame breakers are proprietary and not cross-compatible with other manufacturers' equipment. They must be installed in compatible Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer enclosures to maintain safety and UL listings.
Are the trip settings on the FB3015 field-adjustable?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time overload protection and the instantaneous short-circuit protection are factory-set and cannot be adjusted.
Is the FB3015 rated for use with aluminum conductors?
Yes, the standard lugs accept both copper and aluminum wire from 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG. When terminating aluminum conductors, it is recommended to apply a suitable oxide-inhibiting joint compound to prevent terminal overheating.
Can a 3-pole FB3015 be wired for a 2-pole application?
Yes. According to Eaton installation guidelines for F-frame breakers, a 3-pole breaker may be wired and used as a 2-pole breaker if required by the application.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
