The QC3030H uses a cable-in/cable-out mounting design and secures directly to the panel chassis. For DIN rail applications, it can be mounted to a standard 35mm rail using the Eaton QCDINADAPT adapter bracket.
Can the Eaton QC3030H replace older Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer breakers?
Yes. Eaton acquired both brands and continues to manufacture the Quicklag QC series to the original specifications. The Eaton QC3030H is an exact, UL 489 approved replacement for legacy Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse QC3030H models.
Will the QC3030H fit in a standard residential load center?
No. The QC3030H is a cable-in/cable-out industrial breaker that secures directly to a panelboard chassis or DIN rail. It lacks the plug-on or bolt-on mounting clips required for installation in standard residential breaker boxes.
What is the physical width of the QC3030H circuit breaker?
Quicklag QC breakers feature a standard 1-inch width per pole, making this 3-pole unit exactly 3 inches wide overall. For space-constrained panel configurations, Eaton offers the QCR and QCF series which utilize 0.5-inch wide poles.
Why do the line and load wire capacities differ on the QC3030H?
The line-side terminals accept 14 to 10 AWG aluminum or copper wire, which is standard for internal panel supply connections. The load-side box lugs are oversized to accommodate larger field wiring from 14 to 4 AWG, helping to minimize voltage drop over longer equipment runs.
Does the QC3030H support DC voltage for control circuits?
Yes. While primarily utilized for 240VAC systems, this thermal-magnetic breaker is also rated for 62.5VDC with a 3.8 kAIC interrupt capacity, making it suitable for low-voltage DC control panels.
Can the trip settings on the QC3030H be field-adjusted?
No. This miniature circuit breaker is manufactured with a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The 30A continuous overload and instantaneous short-circuit protection limits are permanently calibrated at the factory.

Expedited Shipments
