The GHB1040 is designed for use in Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Pow-R-Line series panelboards, specifically the PRL1a, PRL2a, and PRL3a, as well as legacy Series C panelboards.
Can the Eaton GHB1040 breaker be reverse fed?
Yes, Eaton G-frame circuit breakers are suitable for reverse feed applications. They are factory sealed and do not have line and load markings, allowing power to be supplied from either side.
Can this breaker be used in direct current (DC) systems?
Yes. Single-pole GHB breakers rated from 15 to 70 amps, including the GHB1040, are approved for DC systems up to 125VDC. Note that 80 to 100 amp models in this frame are not suitable for DC applications.
Is the standard GHB1040 rated for Switching Duty (SWD) or High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting?
No. In the GHB series, only 15-amp and 20-amp single-pole breakers carry an SWD rating. For HID lighting applications, a specific HID-rated version with an HID suffix is required.
Is the GHB1040 HACR rated for HVAC equipment?
Yes, all Eaton GHB circuit breakers from 15 to 100 amps are HACR rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Will the Eaton GHB1040 replace an older Westinghouse GHB breaker?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. The Eaton GHB1040 is a direct replacement for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer breakers with the exact same catalog number.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping

Good product, but I was disappointed with the service. I accidentally placed two separate orders and ended up paying freight on both. I had requested that they combine the orders, and had that been done with the freight waived, it would have saved me money.
Other than that, everything was good. I’m just disappointed that no one communicated this to me.
