What are the terminal torque specifications for the GHB2050?
Torque requirements depend on the wire size being terminated. For the standard pressure lugs on the GHB2050, torque 10 AWG wire to 20 lb-in, 8 AWG to 40 lb-in, and 6 through 1/0 AWG to 45 lb-in. Always verify against the specific torque values printed on the breaker nameplate prior to installation.

Is the GHB2050 approved for direct current (DC) installations?
Yes, in addition to its AC ratings, this thermal magnetic breaker is UL listed for DC applications. It carries a maximum voltage rating of 125/250VDC with a 14kAIC interrupting rating, making it suitable for select control and battery circuits.
Does the GHB2050 provide ground fault or equipment protection?
No, the GHB2050 is a standard thermal magnetic circuit breaker designed strictly for overload and short-circuit protection. It does not contain ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) or equipment protection device (EPD) circuitry. Eaton offers the GHBGFEP series for ground fault applications.
Can the GHB2050 be used on an ungrounded 480V Delta system?
No. The GHB2050 has a slash voltage rating of 480Y/277VAC. Per the National Electrical Code, slash-rated breakers are only approved for use on solidly grounded Wye systems where the nominal voltage to ground does not exceed the lower value. It cannot be safely installed on ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V Delta configurations.
