Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment line. The current Series C HFD3030 is the direct drop-in replacement for obsolete Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer breakers that share the same HFD3030 catalog number.
What panelboards and enclosures accept the HFD3030?
This F-frame circuit breaker is designed for bolt-on installation in Eaton Pow-R-Line C panelboards, motor control centers, and switchboards. Installation may require specific mounting hardware or filler plates depending on your existing enclosure type.
Can the HFD3030 be used in reverse feed configurations?
Yes. Standard Eaton Series C F-frame thermal magnetic circuit breakers lack directional line and load markings, making them fully suitable for back feed or reverse feed applications.
Is this 30 amp breaker rated for HVAC and lighting equipment?
Yes. The HFD3030 carries an HACR rating for safe operation with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. In addition, 10 to 50 amp F-frame breakers are approved for switching high intensity discharge (HID) lighting circuits.

The HFD prefix indicates a high interrupting capacity model within the F-frame family. It delivers a 65kAIC rating at 480VAC compared to the standard 35kAIC of the base FD series, providing essential protection for facilities with higher available fault currents.

No. This breaker comes equipped with a non-interchangeable trip unit featuring fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip points. If your application requires adjustable short delay or ground fault functions, you must upgrade to a Series C breaker equipped with an electronic trip unit.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
