How is the QCR1010 circuit breaker mounted?
The QCR series is designed for rear mounting on a standard DIN rail. It utilizes a cable-in/cable-out feed-thru connection, making it ideal for OEM control panels and telecom power systems.
What is the difference between Eaton QCR, QC, and QCF circuit breakers?
All three are part of the Quicklag 1/2-inch cable-in/cable-out family. The QCR is designed specifically for rear DIN rail mounting. The QCF is built for front-mount through-the-door applications, while the standard QC is a traditional panel-mount breaker.
What wire sizes are compatible with the box lugs on this breaker?
The box lug terminals on the QCR1010 accept wire gauges ranging from 14 AWG up to 4 AWG to support flexible power feed connections.
Can this breaker be used in DC voltage applications?
Yes, in addition to its standard AC ratings, the QCR1010 is rated for 62.5VDC with a 3kA interrupting capacity, which is commonly required in telecom power systems.
Is the QCR1010 suitable for HVAC equipment?
Yes, Eaton Quicklag QCR miniature circuit breakers are HACR rated, meaning they are approved for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
What is the physical width of this 1-pole breaker?
The QCR series features a compact 1/2-inch width per pole. This narrow profile saves valuable space on the DIN rail inside high-density control panels.
Does this breaker have adjustable trip settings?
No, the QCR1010 features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit with factory-set long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions.
