Yes. Siemens acquired ITE and continued the HE frame line. The Siemens HE3B040 is a direct replacement for legacy ITE HE3B040 breakers and fits into the same panelboard spaces.
What is the difference between the ITE HE3B040 and the Siemens HE3B040?
There is no physical or electrical difference. Siemens manufactures the exact same HE frame breaker that was previously branded as ITE. They are fully interchangeable.
Are load lugs included with this breaker?
Yes, the breaker includes standard mechanical lugs installed on the load side, which accept 10 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors.
Does this breaker require a separate mounting kit?
Yes. Because it is a bolt-on breaker, you will need the appropriate strap kit or mounting hardware designed specifically for your Siemens P1, P2, P3, or legacy ITE panelboard.
Is this breaker rated for direct current (DC) applications?
Yes, the HE3B040 carries a 250VDC rating with a 10kA interrupting capacity, allowing it to be used in compatible DC circuits.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
