Yes. Siemens acquired Murray, and Siemens load centers that accept QP-type breakers will accept MP-type breakers like the MP240GF. Siemens has issued a substitution letter confirming this interchangeability.
What is the modern Siemens equivalent for the Murray MP240GF?
The Siemens QF240A is the recommended modern substitute for the legacy Murray MP240GF. Both are 40A, 2-pole, Class A GFCI breakers with a pigtail neutral.
Does the MP240GF provide Class A ground-fault protection?
Yes. The MP240GF is a Class A GFCI breaker. It is designed to trip when a ground fault of 5mA is detected, ensuring personnel safety in wet or damp locations as required by the NEC.
How is the pigtail neutral wired on the MP240GF?
The coiled white pigtail wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in the load center. The load neutral wire from the branch circuit connects to the designated neutral lug on the breaker.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Expedited Shipments
