Is the BQD220 suitable for ungrounded 480V Delta systems?
No. The maximum AC voltage rating is 480Y/277VAC, which restricts its use to solidly grounded wye systems. Installing it on an ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V Delta system violates its voltage rating and compromises safety.
What type of wiring is compatible with the factory lugs on the BQD220?
The standard terminal lugs are dual-rated for copper and aluminum conductors. You can terminate 14 to 6 AWG copper wire or 12 to 6 AWG aluminum wire directly to the breaker.
Does the BQD220 allow for field-adjustable trip settings?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit trip thresholds are set at the factory and cannot be modified.
Can the BQD220 be deployed in direct current (DC) circuits?
Yes. While commonly used in alternating current panels, this breaker is fully rated for DC circuits up to 125/250VDC with a 14kA interrupting capacity.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
