The BQD325 is designed for installation in Siemens P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5 series panelboards.
What wire sizes are accepted by the load lugs on the BQD325?
The load terminals accommodate 14 to 6 AWG copper (Cu) wire or 12 to 6 AWG aluminum (Al) wire. The connectors are UL listed for 60 and 75 degree Celsius conductors.
Does the BQD325 include both line and load lugs?
No. Because it is a panelboard-mounted breaker, the BQD325 has a bolt-on connection for the line side to attach directly to the panel bus. It features standard wire lugs on the load side only.
Will the modern Siemens BQD325 replace an older I-T-E branded BQD325?
Yes. Siemens acquired I-T-E and maintained the BQD product frame. The current Siemens BQD325 serves as a direct, drop-in replacement for legacy I-T-E breakers with the exact same catalog number.
Can this 480Y/277VAC breaker be applied on a 480V Delta system?
No. Circuit breakers with a 480Y/277V slash rating are designed specifically for solidly grounded Wye systems. They must not be used on ungrounded Delta or corner-grounded Delta systems, as the line-to-ground voltage on those systems exceeds the 277V maximum rating of the breaker.
What is the difference between the BQD325 and CQD325 breakers?
Both are 25A, 3-pole thermal-magnetic breakers within the same frame group, but they have different mounting styles. The BQD325 is a bolt-on breaker for panelboards, whereas the CQD325 is designed for DIN rail or surface mounting and includes lugs on both the line and load ends.

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
