This bolt-on breaker is designed for use in Siemens Sentron P2 and P3 panelboards, as well as compatible Siemens switchboards.
Can I use the HED43B045 to replace a standard ED43B045?
Yes. The HED4 series shares the same physical dimensions and mounting footprint as the standard ED4 series but provides a higher interrupting capacity. It can safely replace an ED43B045 where higher fault current ratings are required.
What is the difference between the ED4, HED4, and HHED4 series?
These series share the same ED frame size but offer different interrupting ratings at 480 VAC. The standard ED4 is rated at 18kA, the HED4 is rated at 42kA, and the HHED4 provides 65kA.
Are the load lugs included, and what wire types are supported?
Yes, the breaker includes factory-installed load lugs. They accept 10 AWG through 1/0 AWG wire and are rated for both copper and aluminum conductors.
Can this breaker be used in DC circuits?
Yes, the HED43B045 is rated for DC applications, providing a 30kA interrupting capacity at 250 VDC.
Will this breaker fit in legacy ITE panels?
Yes. Siemens manufactures the Sentron line, which is fully backwards compatible with older ITE panelboards that require ED-frame bolt-on breakers.
Does this breaker feature adjustable trip settings?
No. This thermal-magnetic breaker utilizes fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous trip functions. It does not have adjustable dials for modifying the trip curve.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
