6 answersIs the QF260A intended for personnel protection or equipment protection?
It provides Class A personnel protection with a 5mA trip threshold. It is not an Equipment Protection Device (EPD), which would typically feature a 30mA threshold.
Does a straight 240V load without a neutral require the breaker pigtail to be connected?
Yes. Even if the 240V load does not utilize a load neutral, the white pigtail on the breaker must be landed on the panel neutral bus to power the internal ground fault testing and sensing circuitry.
Does this breaker require a plug-on neutral load center?
No. It uses a traditional pigtail neutral connection, making it compatible with standard Siemens EQ, ES, PL, and Ultimate panels that lack a dedicated plug-on neutral bus.
What is the difference between the legacy QF260 and the current QF260A?
The QF260A is the direct replacement for the discontinued QF260. The A suffix indicates the integration of an automated self-test feature to comply with updated UL 943 requirements.
Can I use the QF260A to replace a Murray MP260GF?
Yes. Siemens phased out the Murray brand and officially lists the QF260A as the direct, UL-listed cross-reference replacement for Murray MP260GF and MP260GFA ground fault breakers.
How does the self-test feature on the QF260A function?
The breaker automatically runs periodic internal diagnostic tests to verify the ground fault circuitry is functional. If it detects a failure in the GFCI protection, it will trip and lock out to prevent unprotected use.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
