This breaker is designed specifically for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It utilizes a plug-on phase connection system for fast installation directly onto the panel bus.
Can the BDA36020 be used to replace an older FA36020 breaker?
Yes. The PowerPacT B-frame is Schneider Electric's direct replacement for legacy F-frame breakers, including the FA and FH series. It installs into the exact same I-Line mounting space.
Is the BDA36020 rated for HACR applications?
Yes, all standard PowerPacT B-frame circuit breakers carry an HACR rating, making them suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Can this breaker be reverse fed?
Yes. The BDA36020 features a sealed thermal-magnetic trip unit and can be reverse fed from either the top or bottom lugs without any reduction in performance.
What is the recommended lug torque for the BDA36020?
Torque specifications depend on the wire size used. For 14 AWG to 10 AWG wire, torque the lugs to 31.9 to 38.9 lb-in. For 8 AWG to 2/0 AWG wire, torque the lugs to 44.3 to 54.9 lb-in.
Does this breaker include a manual trip mechanism?
Yes, it features an integral push-to-trip button on the front cover. This allows electricians to manually trip the breaker to verify proper operation of the mechanical linkage.
Does this breaker mount onto a standard DIN rail?
No. While unit-mount PowerPacT B-frame breakers offer DIN rail compatibility, the BDA36020 is strictly an I-Line plug-in breaker designed for I-Line bus systems.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
