The tightening torque depends on the installed wire gauge. For 14 to 10 AWG wire, torque the lug to 34.5 lb-in. For 8 to 2/0 AWG wire, apply 49.6 lb-in of torque.
Can I substitute an EGB24050 or EJB24050 for the EDB24050?
Yes. EGB and EJB circuit breakers share the exact physical dimensions and bolt-on footprint as the EDB series. They serve as direct drop-in replacements if your panel requires a higher interrupting capacity, offering 35 kA and 65 kA at 480Y/277VAC respectively.
Is the EDB24050 rated for HVAC equipment and lighting loads?
Yes. The EDB24050 is both HACR rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, and HID rated for high-intensity discharge lighting circuits.
Can the EDB24050 be reverse-fed for backfeed applications?
Yes. Square D E-frame circuit breakers, including the EDB24050, are suitable for reverse-feed applications such as solar backfeeding. Note that while they support AC backfeeding, they are not DC-rated.
Is the 2-pole EDB24050 suitable for corner-grounded delta systems?
Yes. Two-pole EDB, EGB, and EJB circuit breakers are UL Listed for use on 240V corner-grounded delta systems, also known as grounded B phase systems.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
