This E-frame breaker is designed specifically for use in Square D NF series panelboards. It is not compatible with NQ or I-Line panelboards.
Can I use the EGB14030 to replace an EDB14030?
Yes. The EGB14030 shares the same physical dimensions and bolt-on mounting as the EDB14030 but offers a higher interrupting rating (35kAIC versus 18kAIC at 277V). It is a compliant upgrade when higher fault current protection is required.
What wire sizes are accepted by the lugs on this breaker?
The factory-installed lugs accept 14 to 6 AWG copper wire or 12 to 6 AWG aluminum wire.
Is this 1-pole breaker suitable for 480V systems?
As a 1-pole breaker, it is rated for 277VAC. It is commonly used on 480Y/277V solidly grounded wye systems where the line-to-neutral voltage does not exceed 277V. It cannot be used on 480V ungrounded delta systems.
What is the difference between EGB and EJB breakers?
The difference is the interrupting rating. EGB breakers are rated at 35kAIC at 277V, while EJB breakers provide a higher rating of 65kAIC at 277V. Both share the same E-frame footprint and fit the same NF panelboards.
Does this breaker include ground fault or arc fault protection?
No. The EGB14030 is a standard thermal-magnetic breaker providing only long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit protection. It does not feature GFCI or AFCI capabilities.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
