Description
Built for commercial and industrial power distribution, the Square D EGB24035 is a two-pole, 35-amp miniature circuit breaker. It provides reliable long-time and instantaneous trip functions with a 35 kAIC interrupting capacity at 480Y/277VAC. This E-Frame breaker mounts into Square D NF panelboards using a secure bolt-on connection. It is an exact substitute for the EJB24035. This E-Frame breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series panelboards. It is not compatible with NQ, QO, or I-Line panels.
Can the EGB24035 replace an EDB24035 or EJB24035?
Yes. EDB, EGB, and EJB breakers share the same physical E-Frame footprint. The EGB24035 provides a 35kA interrupting rating at 480Y/277VAC, making it a direct upgrade for the 18kA EDB24035. It can also replace an EJB24035 if the available fault current does not exceed 35kA.
How much panel space does this 2-pole breaker require?
Square D E-Frame breakers require 1 inch of space per pole. This 2-pole breaker will occupy 2 inches of total space in an NF panelboard.
What is the recommended lug torque for the EGB24035?
The factory lugs require 34.5 lb-in of torque for 14 to 10 AWG wire, and 49.6 lb-in for 8 to 2/0 AWG wire. Always verify with the label on the breaker prior to installation.
What wire sizes are accepted by the factory lugs?
The lugs accept 14 to 2/0 AWG copper wire or 12 to 2/0 AWG aluminum wire.
What does the G in the EGB24035 part number indicate?
The G designates the interrupting rating tier within the Square D E-Frame family. EGB breakers are rated for 35kA at 480Y/277VAC, whereas EDB is 18kA and EJB is 65kA.
Is the EGB24035 suitable for reverse feeding in solar applications?
Yes. Square D E-Frame breakers like the EGB24035 do not have line and load side restrictions and can be backfed for solar or generator applications. However, they are strictly AC rated and cannot be used in DC circuits.

Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
