The EGB36060 is an E-Frame bolt-on circuit breaker designed specifically for use in Square D NF series panelboards.
Can I install the EGB36060 in a Square D NQ or QO panelboard?
No. E-Frame breakers are exclusively designed for Square D NF panelboards. NQ panelboards require QO or QOB series breakers.
What is the difference between Square D EDB, EGB, and EJB circuit breakers?
These are all E-Frame bolt-on breakers designed for NF panelboards, but they feature different interrupting ratings. At 480Y/277VAC, the EDB is rated for 18kAIC, the EGB is rated for 35kAIC, and the EJB is rated for 65kAIC.
What is the recommended lug torque for the EGB36060?
The tightening torque depends on the wire size. Torque to 3.9 N.m for 14 to 10 AWG copper or 12 to 10 AWG aluminum wire, and 5.6 N.m for 8 to 2/0 AWG wire.
Can the EGB36060 circuit breaker be reverse fed?
Yes, Square D E-Frame breakers like the EGB36060 can be reverse fed (back-fed). When used as a back-fed main breaker, a hold-down kit may be required by the National Electrical Code.
Is the EGB36060 rated for 100 percent continuous duty?
No, this is a standard 80 percent rated circuit breaker. Continuous loads should not exceed 48 amps (80 percent of its 60A rating) for three hours or more.
Does the EGB36060 include ground fault or arc fault protection?
No, this is a standard thermal-magnetic breaker providing overload and short-circuit protection. It does not include GFCI or AFCI protection.

Expedited Shipments
