No. EHB circuit breakers are exclusively designed for legacy NEHB panelboards. Modern NF panelboards require EDB, EGB, or EJB frame circuit breakers.
Can I use a modern EDB34030 to replace the EHB34030?
No. While they share similar 30A electrical ratings and thermal magnetic trip curves, the EDB series has a different physical footprint meant for NF panelboards. It will not physically fit or connect to an older NEHB panelboard.
What is the difference between Square D EH and EHB circuit breakers?
The primary difference is the mounting style. EH circuit breakers feature a plug-on connection, while EHB circuit breakers like the EHB34030 feature a bolt-on connection. Both types fit legacy NEHB panelboards, as the panel busbar includes both plug-on connectors and tapped mounting holes.
How is the EHB34030 mechanically secured into the panelboard?
The EHB series utilizes a bolt-on connection. The breaker physically bolts directly to the tapped mounting holes on the branch bus connectors within the NEHB panelboard, ensuring a rigid electrical and mechanical connection under high fault conditions.
Does the EHB34030 feature the Square D Visi-Trip indicator?
Yes. The EHB series includes a Visi-Trip visual indicator flag. When the breaker trips due to an overcurrent or short circuit, the handle moves to a center position and the highly visible flag appears to help maintenance personnel quickly locate the tripped circuit.
Can I terminate aluminum conductors on the standard lugs of the EHB34030?
Yes, the factory installed lugs are dual-rated for both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors. Ensure your wire is sized correctly within the accepted 14 AWG to 10 AWG range and properly torqued before terminating.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
