This breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not mount in standard NQ or NF panelboards.
How much mounting space does the FC34070 require?
As a 3-pole legacy F-frame I-Line breaker, it requires 4.5 inches of branch mounting space (1.5 inches per pole) along the I-Line busbar stack.
How does this breaker connect to the electrical system?
The line side features an I-Line plug-on (blow-on) connection that attaches directly to the panelboard's busbar, while the load side utilizes traditional mechanical lugs for wire termination.
Is the FC34070 still manufactured by Square D?
No, the legacy FC frame series is obsolete. The direct modern upgrade in the PowerPacT series is the HJA36070, which provides the same 65kA at 480V interrupting capacity for I-Line installations.
Can the FC34070 be reverse-fed (backfed)?
Yes, Square D I-Line circuit breakers are UL listed for use as either branch breakers or backfed main devices. When used as a main, the lugs act as the line side and the plug-on jaws feed the panelboard bus.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
